Building Conditions Assesment, 89 Wentworth

For this project we were asked to pick a historic building in Charleston and conduct a condition assessment. We first visited the building and then took photos and looked for things like cracking, water discoloration, and sagging in the structure to asses the conditions of the structure and possible ways to repair any deterioration. To accurately measure I took the measurements i could at ground level of individual bricks and architectural elements and then copied them in AUTOCAD up the face of the building. I double checked heights by using google earth and subtracting the buildings height over sea level. It was very time consuming but I was pleased with how the project was finished.
