Three Lions
After the shield is constructed a drawing is needed to finalize the design of the three lions that will need to go in the center of the shield. To do this the shield is plotted out in a grid pattern.
The grid is then translated on to paper, and the lions are spaced out according to the grid to make sure they will then fit. Templates then can be made from the lions if needed. Many different versions of the Lions have been made on sheilds over the years, so I picked one that looked the most standard and formalized. The image was then blown up and traced on tracing paper. After the rough form of the lions is on the paper, additional detailing can be added in the clay model.
