Capstone, St. Joseph Central Figure

This project was completed in Florence Italy over the course of one month in June of 2019. It depicts St. Joseph the worker teaching Jesus. It was done in clay using drawings done for my senior year Capstone project. After a sketch model was completed the client gave the go ahead for funding construction of full size model in clay, and then for the casting and creation of a mould. The mould was then shipped back to Charleston South Carolina where additional copies were made and given to the client.

Working on sanding and cleaning. The base of the hammer had to be removed in the moulding process as it was too fragile.
